Our recent stay at Caol Gleann Lodge was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stunning location and high-quality accommodation. The lodge was tastefully decorated for the Christmas season, and we even received a thoughtful bottle of wine and a box of chocolates. The little extras, like bags of ice in the freezer, made our stay even more enjoyable. The lodge had everything we needed, and the gated decking was perfect for our dog and young children. Being right on the beach, at the bottom of Ben Lomond, and on the loch made it feel remote and away from it all. We loved being able to participate in water sports and enjoy the incredible surroundings. The parking was also a convenient plus.
While there were a few minor drawbacks, like the lack of a separate toilet and the absence of a nearby shop within walking distance, these did not significantly impact our overall experience.

We had an amazing stay at this cozy lodge on the banks of Loch Lomond. The location was perfect for exploring the area and the lodge itself was stylishly furnished and equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and even left us a bottle of wine upon arrival. Plus, being able to see a Pine Marten on the deck every day was a unique and exciting experience!
Breakfast choices could be improved with more variety.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Caol Gleann Lodge. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings and going on lovely walks. We even saw a Pine Marten daily running across the deck, which was a special treat. The lodge itself was cozy and had all the amenities we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The smart TV and WiFi were great for entertainment, and we enjoyed using the Amazon dot and playing board games with the kids. The nearby shore and hotel with a bar were only a short walk away, and the staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming to our dog. The cleaner was also very helpful and made us feel reassured. we had a wonderful time and would definitely book this property again.

We booked Caol Gleann Lodge for a 4-night stay, but ended up staying 5 nights because we didn't want to leave! The lodge is perfectly situated on the shore of Loch Lomond, offering direct access to a little beach and the West Highland Way. The quiet and tranquil location was just what we needed, and the lodge itself had everything we could possibly need, including a dishwasher, washing machine, and comfy beds. The views of the loch and mountains were beautiful, and we enjoyed exploring the water with our paddleboard and nets. The nearby hotel provided meals and the staff were friendly. We can't wait to come back!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
